Starting the Quest Line

To begin this mission, players must first complete the preceding quest and speak with Ley'Taw at the River's Run camp. After a full day passes, a new unsettling noise begins troubling the camp's children at night. Passing time at the local campfire allows you to advance the day until nightfall, triggering the next step in the quest chain.

Finding the Hidden Cave Entrance

Once night falls, head east from the camp toward the rock formations located near River's Embrace. Map markers can sometimes be misleading by pointing to the top of the formation, but the objective lies below at ground level. Look toward the southern base of the central rock to spot glowing Stromsky Bamboo stalks marking the entrance to a hidden cave system.

Navigating the Cavern and Locating Nilngan

Step inside the cave and follow the linear pathway as it winds deeper underground. Take the side paths when encountering dead ends until you reach an inner cavern chamber. Here, you will discover the elder Nilngan practicing on a Kame'tire instrument, which turns out to be the source of the mysterious sound scaring the camp.

Completing the Quest and Claiming Rewards

After speaking with Nilngan and learning about his intentions, exit the cavern and fast travel back to River's Run. Report your findings directly to Ley'Taw to reassure the clan and finalize the side quest. Completing this task grants a skill point and boosts your standing through earned Clan Favor.
